Herbal, classy, dinner-party style. Fresh thyme shaken directly into the drink.
Ingredients
— 🍸 THE BUILD
— 2 oz vodka or gin
— 1 oz fig syrup
— 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
— 1 small thyme sprig
— Optional: 1 bar spoon honey syrup
— Fresh thyme sprig
Prep
— Chill a coupe glass.
— Strip most of the leaves from a thyme sprig, keep one whole for garnish.
Method
— Add thyme leaves to the shaker and press gently — don't crush, just release the oils.
— Add vodka, fig syrup, lemon, and honey syrup. Fill with ice.
— Shake for 12 seconds. Double strain to remove the thyme.
— Garnish with the reserved thyme sprig.
Chef's Note: Greek mountain thyme is more intense than common thyme. A little goes a long way. If using Greek thyme, use half a sprig.
