The signature version. Mastiha gives it a Greek identity without overpowering the fig.
Ingredients
— 🍸 THE BUILD
— 1.5 oz vodka
— 1/2 oz Skinos Mastiha liqueur
— 3/4 oz fig syrup or fig preserves
— 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
— Tiny pinch of sea salt
— Lemon twist
Prep
— Make fig syrup: combine 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, and 4 dried figs in a saucepan. Simmer 15 minutes, strain, cool.
— Alternatively use 1 tablespoon of quality fig preserves.
— Chill a martini glass.
Method
— Combine vodka, mastiha, fig syrup, lemon juice, and sea salt in a shaker with ice.
— Shake hard for 12 seconds.
— Double strain into the chilled martini glass.
— Express the lemon twist and drop it in.
